"Tex"
I met "Tex" last spring. I was walking down Broadway St and he caught my eye as we approached each other. He smiled brightly. I smiled back. "You know, if you can make a woman smile within 5 seconds of meeting her, you've got her," Tex said. This, naturally, made me smile. Tex had great charisma. He went on to talk about giving gifts and receiving gifts. I, because of my quit-witted nature, soon realized that he wanted something from me(as cash). He went on and talked about his situation and mentioned his girlfriend. He was originally from Texas(that's why they call him "Tex"). His real name, he told me, was Robert. I think Tex is more suitable for him. I had no cash. He told me to "dig deeper". I remembered that I had a Starbuck's gift card that I had not used yet. I gave that to him in exchange for a photograph. He walked over to the wall(just outside of the US Outdoor Store) and posed. At first, I wasn't so thrilled that he had posed for me, but it seemed very suitable to his nature. He then gave me a ring(another gift) in hopes that maybe I had something else to give him. I had nothing. The gifts he gave me: a photograph, a ring, and a good story. The gifts I gave him: a smile, and a Starbuck's gift card. As we said goodbye to go our separate ways, he said "Smile...it looks good on you."
